Grenalight high insulation board is produced of expanded vermiculite and a special inorganic binder in a super low density of 350 kg/m³, which assure high resistance to thermal shock and high insulation properties.

Grenalight is completely free of asbestos, mineral fibers and glass fibers and they are sufficiently strong and mechanically stable.

The properties of Grenalight boards do not change, they do not deteriorate with aging not even when exposed to high temperatures. They never release fumes due to the high temperatures or during firing.

Grenalight is a non-structural board designed for the highest quality of insulation for fire-places, stoves, cookers and other heaters. It is not designed for construction of second fireplace mantles. The board Grenalight was developed at the request of customers - stove fitters, who sought an alternative to established products on the market. The board Grenalightis very light (vol. Wt. 350 kg/m³) and at the same time firm. It is made of 100% of natural materials, and therefore it is completely harmless to health. During cutting there is no dust, it has excellent insulating properties and, of course, it is completely non-ammable. Even when heated to hightemperatures there are no fumes.

Grenalight is recommended to used together with Grenaisol boards and Grenatherm boards. The board Grenalight can be used for non-bearing and non-structural parts of fireplace surrounds. It provides superior, healthier and technologically less demanding construction. You save your time. It can be processed with ordinary woodworking tools. Easy gluing with GrenaKlebepaste fire resistant up to 1200°C

Aplications of Grenalight:

Wall insulation from heat sources

Insulation of a double ceiling of fireplace surrounds

Ceiling insulation under the soffit or ceiling of the room

Hearth insulation (behind the refractory board - e. g. Grenamat AS or chamotte)

Niche insulation inside fireplaces and stoves

Insulation of chimneys and chimney penetrations

Construction of ventilated insulation walls of storage buildings

Tile llers of thermally stressed places (e. g. tiles above the hearth or heater door)

Barriers and heat distribution in heaters or hypocausts

Use wood screws or staples to join the Grenalight boards and apply Grena Klebepaste glue on all surface in contact. All you need is standard tools such as a circular saw, a drill, wood rasp, etc.

Grenalight boards are very easy to work with.
