Grenamat AS is a refractory - insulating board made from expanded vermiculite and special inorganic binder that provide a high degree of heat resistance to temperatures up to 1300°C and heat shocks. The boards do not represent any health hazards and are exclusive of any asbestos, glass or mineral fibres.
They feature sufficient rigidity and mechanical stability, high temperature and high electrical resistance and low heat conductivity.
Reaction on fire as per EN 13501.1, DIN 4102 = A1.

Possible shades of colour of boards Grenamat AS
On request we can offer you a colour surface of the Grenamat AS for your fire place. The colour is resistant to high temperatures up to 1200 °C and is non-fading even in case of longer functioning. Currently we are able to offer you these shades: black, grey, brown, white, yellow and brick.
They are used as external insulation paneling around the heat sources where they are not exposed to direct fire, but only serve as thermal insulation, e.g. insulation of walls behind stoves and fireplaces, insulation behind a firebrick lining or Grenamat AS boards paneling.
The advantage of the boards is their workability and processing, they are very light (400-475 kg/m3) and thus higly insulating.
